Fan Case Top for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
thingiverse
This project involves adding a 40mm 5V Noctua cooling fan to a Raspberry Pi 3 B. I already had an NES-style case for the Pi and decided to design a new top-half of the clamshell that would house the cooling fan. The design also allows access to the GPIO pins on the board without removing the entire case. A Kintaro heatsink is installed on the Pi, so this case can accommodate one of those as well. A rocker switch is included in the picture to turn the fan on and off while the Pi is running; it's not temperature-controlled and simply turns on or off. This project is still a work in progress and I may try to add some temp sensing to the fan later. The build looks pretty rough, so I'm exploring ways to make it more compact and easier to print.
