Fan brackets for Prusa i3

Just a simple bracket to allow for mounting a PC fan to the back edge of the Prusa i3's acrylic or aluminum frame (i.e. opposite the power supply and/or RAMPS/Arduino boards). The bracket has a 105° corner (versus the usual 90°) to point the fans slightly inward.

One hole is 3.5 mm in diameter while the other is 5.5 mm. I chose these sizes based on my parts on hand, the smaller being just right to accept M3 or M4 screws (with a little reaming-out maybe). Something in the 8-10 mm length should do (the ones pictured are 10). The larger hole is sized to accommodate those fat, short screws commonly used to mount PC fans to the inside of a case.

Turn the model on either of its triangular sides for best results, needs good bridging performance.

Print instructions

Licence: Creative Commons - Attribution Category: 3D Printer Parts Print Settings

Printer Brand: RepRap

Printer: Prusa i3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2 mm

Infill: 95%
