Fan bracket for LSI 9211-8i and LSI 9201-16i
thingiverse
Based on the awesome work of mwoehlke and his "Fan bracket for LSI 9207-8i". I loved the idea, but unfortunately it didn't fit any of my LSI 9211-8i or 9201-16i cards. Since I love the idea I started modifying it and hope other people will find it useful as these cards get extremely hot without active cooling. I used a 40x10mm Noctua PWM fan. I wanted to change the adapter to also fit an older motherboard I had lying around with pesky old PCI slots next to the PCIe slots. These slots are just too high for the adapter to go over it and I had to do multiple iterations in order to figure out a good placement of the adapter clips. I wanted to stay clear from any components while also making sure the adapter stays in place in order to mitigate vibrations. My version of this adapter fits around the little "PCI tab" in order to secure the adapter. Be extremely careful when removing the support as the clips are easily broken off (but they can be fixed with super glue).
