Fan Blades and Hub

Fan Blades and Hub

cults3d

This was a project I completed for a Sterling engine powered fan. These blades produce an impressive amount of thrust! Printing them can be challenging. I highly recommend printing them upright and rotating about 10 to 15 degrees around the Z-axis. Use low resolution with a raft. **Critical Note** Print these at 210 C and 70mm/min. The thin features on the blade will curl up if you are too hot or print too quickly. Slow down, cool off, and let these print carefully. *** Hub *** This model was optimized to allow you to print it upright. Orient the model with the trimmed edge facing the build surface. Simply rotate by 45 degrees for a seamless printing experience. Print with raft and support material. Sorry for the large file size. I exported it as fine as SolidWorks would allow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=len5CaZl60s
