Fan behind mount and extruder base
thingiverse
I created this design several weeks ago for my Anet A8 printer, but I haven't had the chance to print it yet. The project is based on a proven base model that has already worked successfully. I made a few modifications to accommodate the extruder cooling fan in a new position. My goal was to provide an unobstructed view of the print as it happens, so I designed this part to hold the fan under and behind the carriage while also allowing the hot end to be rotated to the back. This setup gives me a clear view of the front of the extruder. The design is intended for use with an E3D V6 hotend and relocates the stock radial fan. It's still a work in progress, but it shows promise.
