Fan and sensor mount

Fan and sensor mount

thingiverse

I replace the stock mount for the fan and sensor with a new one in the exact same spot, using longer screws that were provided in the assembly package. This adds a cooling fan and ducting system to my 3D printer. To configure this setup, I use Cura in Repetier and don't make any adjustments to the settings. For a vertical build configuration, I position the mount correctly. Interestingly, the ducting can be printed without support material. However, I note that the positioning in the provided picture is not accurate - it should be standing almost upright. To ensure correct placement before slicing, I carefully position it accordingly. To secure the fan and ducting in place, I use a little superglue to attach them together. When assembling the fan, I add a nut as a spacer and make sure not to over-tighten it, as it only needs to be snugly fitted.
