Fan and radiator Mount
thingiverse
A fan and radiator mount system designed for twin 120mm computer fans and a 4 tube transmission cooler for the radiator is presented here. Version V1.22 is the current release, which appears to be the final version. Note that "plenum inner" has been rebranded as "fan mount plate." All hardware for V1.22 consists of M4 x 20 Allen screws and matching nuts when attaching to sheet steel. This design was created and printed in version 1.20 for a DIY TIG torch water cooler project I am currently working on. Upon reviewing the design, I noticed room for improvement, hence the development of V1.21. However, I determined that V1.20 is sufficient, so I have not printed V1.21 to avoid wasting the initial set. Version 1.20 may offer advantages in certain applications, so both versions are included. One requirement I had for this design was to ensure that the radiator is electrically insulated from the metal casing; this can be achieved with proper installation of the mount system. The "fan mount plate" and "plenum inner" components are intended to be mounted on opposite sides of a cutout in a metal casing. The radiator attaches to "plenum inner," which features matching holes. The half versions were designed for printing on a 200 x 200 mm print bed; two each can be printed, and they are symmetrical. The transmission cooler employed is the Speed Daddy model, with specifications as follows: Overall size: 12.75" x 5.00" x 0.75", Core size: 9.50" x 5.00" x 0.75". Manufacturer Part Number: SDD-TOC1BK. Upon attempting to fit this system to the radiator last week, I discovered another error in the spacing of the radiator Mount bolts in the top-to-bottom direction; the width was accurate. Version V1.22 corrects this and additional issues, but if you have already printed this design, the correction is a simple matter of drilling new holes in the correct positions. This system could potentially be used for hardcore computer mods and various other applications. Viewers are invited to check out my other uploads by liking and subscribing to my channel.
