Fan Adapter and Spacer - Sunked screws and bolts - Multiple pipes

thingiverse

When attempting to create an adapter using Thingiverse's thing:735038, several issues arose that necessitated design modifications. The primary problems were as follows: 1) The original design featured a single pipe, which ran from the bottom plate to the elbow joint and was identical in size to the fan it supported. To ensure proper fitment, I added a secondary pipe after the elbow joint. 2) Manual entry of screw information was required. To simplify this process, I incorporated the NutsNBolts module from GitHub's JohK repository. This allowed for easy input of screw sizes and provided parameters for sunken bolts and nuts. Two files, bolts.scad and bolts_data.scad, facilitated this functionality. 3) Initially, there was no provision for sinking screws or nuts to connect to the plate. To address this issue, I modified the design to accommodate individual adjustments for the two fan plates. 4) Lastly, I sought to enable separate control over the two fan plates' depths. This modification enabled users to fine-tune their adapter's configuration according to specific requirements. To resolve these problems, I adapted the original design by incorporating a secondary pipe and implementing parameters for individual fan plate adjustments. The scad code was rearranged to enhance logical flow and added explanatory comments for improved clarity. Future updates will include additional features. Version 0.2 will introduce a pipe after the cone, allowing for even greater customization options. Editable variables: Fan 1 plate depth Fan 2 plate depth Fan 1 size Fan 2 size Fan 1 bolt size Fan 2 bolt size Fan 1 bolt sunk depth (sinks the bolt head) Fan 2 nut depth (adds a sunken nut space that will fit the screw size) Fan 1 distance between bolts (future versions may automate this, but for now, refer to Computer Fan spacing on Wikipedia) Fan 2 distance between bolts (future versions may also automate this) Pipe 1 length Pipe 2 length Cone angle (adjusts cone steepness or shallowness) Elbow angle (allows adapter tilting) Elbow twist
