The self-watering planter is a clever design that makes it easy for anyone to create beautiful and healthy plants. Unfortunately, the setup can be quite complicated and complex. Now with the new fully 3D-printable Family Friendly Self Watering Planter, anyone can set it up in seconds with the convenient two-piece design! All you need to do is follow four simple steps: first print the parts, then add dirt and plants to the container, add water to the vase, and enjoy. With its unique design, you can sit back and relax, knowing that your plant will thrive for days or even weeks without needing a drink. Its shape fits perfectly into any home or lifestyle as a great piece of decor! As a beginner gardener, this planter is perfect for learning the basics of gardening. Thank you so much for your interest! Printer Specs Note: Currently I own a delta printer that didn't have enough diameter to fit the water vase onto the build plate. So, I scaled both parts down in Cura to 0.8 size and added supports everywhere, resulting in a total print time of 1037 minutes at that size. Recommended Fill Density: Because these parts will be in contact with water for extended periods, it's essential that they are watertight! The recommended fill density is 60% minimum and 100% for best results. Recommended Micron Layer: As usual, the higher the micron (like 75 microns or 100), the better. However, if you're short on time, it's recommended to print at 0.2, but if you have a fast print speed printer, go ahead and print at 0.1. Recommended Printer: This design should work with most printers, but it was originally designed for an FDM 3D printer. Recommended Nozzle Material: Although brass is the standard nozzle material for almost all 3D printers, it contains traces of lead. If you plan to grow plants using this planter, it's recommended that you print the parts with a stainless steel nozzle or any other material without lead. ***Although the standard nozzles contain lead in small amounts, it's not necessary to worry, but why take the risk? Recommended Material: Almost any material should work for this part. For an FDM printer using ABS and PLA will give you the best results. Recommended Supports: I'm using Cura to add supports everywhere. If a lot of supports are added, the part should come out fine.
