Fallout 4 Bobblehead Collection
thingiverse
Ever dreamed of building a massive bobblehead collection? Well, now you can! You'll find every bobblehead mesh from Fallout 4, ready for printing and display. Each model comes with separate body and head options. Simply print both parts, drill holes, add a spring from an old click-pen, and your functional bobbleheads are complete! Printing the body and head separately also helps tackle overhang issues. The different heads each have their own unique shape. Intelligence sports glasses, Luck rocks a top hat, while Agility's body position makes his head fuse together at the neck. To print these models successfully, you'll want to consider the following settings: Printer: ORDbot Hadron Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3mm for a scaled print of 4.6x Infill: 40% Before starting this project, note the following important details: The bobbleheads come in at about 16mm tall by default. If you scale them up to 4.6x or more, Charisma's head will measure exactly 75mm tall. Increasing the scale to 6.2x makes the final bobblehead stand an impressive 100mm tall. If you're not satisfied with your print's surface quality, try soaking it in an acetone bath – a trick I'm planning on trying out myself eventually! Unfortunately, Luck's delicate 4-leaf clover won't survive printing without major problems. To get around this issue, simply omit the clover from the print and add your own touch with a green twist-tie or paper petals later. As for designing these custom bobbleheads, I relied on two key tools: Bethesda Archive Extractor and NifSkope. First, BAE allowed me to extract every .nif file from the game meshes, then import them into NifSkope. Next, I used NifSkope's capabilities to export each .obj file and later convert it to an .stl format using an online converter. Each newly-created .stl model underwent repairs courtesy of Netfabb Cloud before final printing. Enjoy building your own massive Fallout 4 bobblehead collection!
