Fallout 2D20 Roleplaying Game - D6 Combat Dice

While making the D20 for my Fallout RPG, I decided to try and recreate a more accurate version of the D6 combat die. Another user on here made a very cool rendition of the die that I printed and painted quite a few of which I'll link down below if you are interested in your own set have. And at first I was more than satisfied, I mean they were the right symbols and everything. But when closely compared with the retail versions of the same die I began to notice some blaring differences that I decided to try and change back to the original style. Firstly, I attempted to more accurately recreate the shape of the retail dice as best as I could. So that means no more blocky bevels and much more smooth/ rounded corners. I also made sure to pay attention to the specific placement and orientation of each stencil. On the previous version, the symbols are actually facing the wrong direction from the original. And to be fair, this is a very minor difference that wouldn't effect gameplay. But like anything, once you notice it it's incredible hard not to notice so I fixed the layout of these faces and made them exactly the same as the retail version. Now, there are still some very subtle differences for those like me who love to nitpick. So, if you want to try your hand at recreating these dice to an even more accurate degree there's still some room for improvement. I ended up using the same faces as the original model I downloaded, since it ended up saving me quite a bit of time and they are mostly accurate. The face symbol is slightly different than the original, but this is a very subtly difference at the end of the day that once again does not affect gameplay whatsoever. With all that being said, I'm pretty proud of my first attempt at modeling and look forward to making more original things in the future. For sizing, these are not 100% accurate to the retail version (I'm still working on figuring that bt out) but they are quite close. To my current measurement they are about a single mm off, so do what you will with that information. Also, the supported version of the file has been tested and prints without failure. If you're having trouble please make sure your printer settings are locked in and that your vat is clean. For reference, I used a resin printer to test out this model and do not have access to an FDM printer to test it there. If you do end up printing this out in filament, please let me know how that goes! Happy gaming!
