Fallen Space Marine Statue
thingiverse
This remix takes inspiration from fractalnoise's original design found on Thingiverse as thing number 619959. To create a larger-than-life replica suitable for 28-30mm models, I scaled up the original and made adjustments to achieve an imposing presence. The statue was then rotated and lowered by 22mm to convey a sense of collapse or partial submersion, which can serve as cover in most war games scenarios. Printing with supports is recommended for overhangs greater than 50 degrees, especially when using Cura's current edition, where this becomes the only viable option to provide adequate support for the sword hilt. A revised version has been uploaded, featuring a design that is cut off and doesn't require sinking. The grey statue in the accompanying photo represents a scaled-up model of 1.66%. A ~30mm gnome serves as a size reference (Thing number 138642), depicting the pre-cut-off version of the statue. This was printed with supports at an angle of 50 degrees.
