Fallen Caryatid with Stone, Large Model: A Majestic Bronze Masterpiece by Auguste Rodin. Auguste Rodin crafted Fallen Caryatid, an awe-inspiring bronze sculpture. Originally a small figure meant for his Gates of Hell, Rodin enlarged the model and unveiled it at the 1909 Fall Salon under the title Destiny. The name of the piece pays homage to ancient Greek architectural motifs, particularly the draped female figures that support building entablatures, as seen in iconic structures like the Erechtheion's porch on the Athens Acropolis.
