E3D Holder with Filament Cooler for Falla3d Open Source Printer I wanted to add the E3D to my Falla3d printer while also cooling the filament. The challenge was staying within precise space limits at the front and sides of the extruder without hitting the 20x20x20 print area boundaries. I solved this by placing the fans above the extruder, where there's ample space, and directing the air around the sides of the extruder. To simplify printing, I broke the model into several parts: A TOP part contains: * A 40mm fan mount that directs air to two ducts on each side of the bowden tube leading to the top of the E3D extruder * Two 30mm fans, one on each side, directing air to two ducts for the filament * The four ducts slide directly into the bottom part, secured with two screws A BOTTOM part contains: * Designed to mount directly to the Falla3d extruder holder * Internal ducts lead to the sides of the radiator in the E3D_V6 extruder * External ducts direct air to the filament tip; you might need to adjust their length using cutters, depending on your E3D's configuration A BRIDGE part mounts to a flange, securing and holding the E3D_V6 extruder with two screws. A FIREWALL part shields the back and bottom hot parts of the extruder, preventing airflow from leaking towards the head. It's mounted with two screws to the inside of the bottom part, behind the extruder. This is the only part that requires ABS; all others can be printed with PLA without support on most printers. Recommended rotation: * 135 degrees for the top part, aligning fan holders with the printer bed * 180 degrees for the bottom part, ensuring ducts point upwards * No rotation needed for the bridge * 90 degrees for the Firewall, allowing it to rest on the printer bed
