The material is engineered to serve a purpose, namely allowing flow from top to bottom while hindering inward flow from the bottom up, making it more challenging when falling. This design creates internal pressure that constantly resists downward motion by presenting a large surface area, thereby blocking the fall. In contrast, upward flow is allowed but must travel a significantly longer distance. By utilizing this shape in a plane that can be bent or fixed into a cup-like configuration, similar to a parachute or winged disc vehicle, it functions as an air trap. When replicated on a larger scale with smaller shapes, the effect will intensify. The first image depicts a single cone trap, and sheets could be created from this design.
