falconfire breech mod
thingiverse
This is a breech mod for the Nerf Falconfire blaster. It comes equipped with two barrel holders, one positioned at the front and the other at the back. The top side of each holder features an "O" mark, as the hole is offset from the vertical axis. The barrel used is a K&S141 9/16 inch model (inner diameter 13.49mm, outer diameter 14.29mm). You have two options: either install the breech adapter or go for the full breech pusher. To attach the breech adapter to the original pusher, where the dart normally inserts, you must first remove the Air-Restrictor. Otherwise, it won't work as intended. I've uploaded two versions of the adapter with different diameters for the o-ring fitment. You may need to try both on your barrel before gluing them into place. Keep in mind that depending on your printer's dimensional accuracy, you might need to sand the parts to ensure a smooth fit. The full breech pusher replaces the original one and is optimized for airflow with a homogeneous reduction. For the o-ring used, I opted for a 9x2mm model (9mm inner diameter and 2mm wire = 13mm outer diameter). When it comes to glue, I recommend using a flexible adhesive like "Shoegoo" because it seals very well and can be removed without damaging the parts. To complete the conversion, you must remove the mechanism that holds the dart back when sliding the primer to the front. This is located in front of the blaster where the rear holder sits. Additionally, on the pusher, you'll need to cut off the little "nose" at the very front. With this modification, the Falconfire already boasts good accuracy and power with its stock spring. I've also uploaded a spring spacer for those looking to boost performance even further. Please note that these parts are not for commercial sale in any form. edit: I've uploaded the 16mm version. edit 2: The 9/16 holder has been updated to reflect printing tolerances. Cheers, Harun
