Falcon Heavy Nightlight Lamp LED Arduino
thingiverse
This is my remix of the Falcon Heavy Lamp/Nightlight. From the original, I made several key changes. Firstly, I scaled both the exhaust and Falcon files to 180%. This was as large as I could comfortably fit on my Monoprice Maker Select V2 (Wanhao I3). I designed a new base that accommodates a full-sized Arduino. The original was intended for an Arduino Nano, but I didn't have one handy. Instead, I used a clone with a micro USB port and removed the headers and DC power jack to minimize its profile. In addition, I incorporated a 16 LED RGB ring that I had in stock. While it's smaller than the 24 LED ring in the original design, it's still more than sufficient for this application. Finally, I added a micro on/off switch that I found lying around. Unfortunately, I don't have any details on the switch itself. I've reused the original code unchanged, which utilizes the FASTLED library. One of the sample codes from this library was used as my starting point, and I updated it to create a more soothing effect. The result is truly impressive, with lights that seem to come alive in a mesmerizing display. To give you an idea of what it looks like in action, I've included a 1-minute video of the LED's running at maximum capacity.
