Small exhaust plume allows me to install lights in the engines with ease. The holes for the light and wires are already there, making it super convenient. A 3mm LED fits snugly between the octoweb and the engine bell. I opted for yellow LEDs since they were on hand. White ones would likely look better as they wouldn't clash with the grey of the engine bell. Powering them via a USB charger is the way to go. The cable runs up inside the rocket, and I removed one of the grid fins to run the cable out without drilling any holes. When I get my hands on a dragon capsule, I plan to add real solar panels to the Dragon and power the LEDs that way.
