Falcon 9 Block 5 (BETA)
thingiverse
A Model of SpaceX's Falcon 9 Block 5 (version 7). This model has been split into multiple parts, making it possible to print on an FDM printer with a standard build volume. All components should be printable with ease. Parts will require gluing together for assembly. There are two main configurations available: - The 'landed booster' look features grid fins and landing legs deployed. - Take off configuration has grid fins flattened and legs folded. The main booster components remain the same, but the files for grid fins and legs differ slightly. This should be taken into account before printing begins. Important to note: This model has not yet been printed or tested, but due to its popularity on Reddit, the files have been uploaded early. Feedback from those who build it is greatly appreciated, as parts will be updated if any issues arise. EDITS: - Leg Supports were added on 16/04/18. - A Simplify 3D file with recommended orientations was created on 16/04/18. Update 22/06/19: This model has received overwhelming support, but it also brings guilt as I have not updated it in a while. Thankfully, I am working on an improved version using my upgraded CAD skills and newfound knowledge of 3D printing common sense. The goal is to make this a friendlier model to print and more faithful to the Falcon 9. Thank you all for your patience. Franky
