Fake / Mock Suppressor / Silencer for Umarex Beretta M9A3 BB Air Pistol

This is a design (printed and tested) for a mock silencer (Suppressor) for the Umarex Beretta M9A3 BB gun (with the threaded barrel tip). The female thread on the silencer is counter clockwise like the barrel (14mm type 1, metric thread, 15mm deep). Obvious, but don't use this on a real firearm! I offset the barrel tube of the silencer so that the iron sights are not obstructed, by using an inner core. This core is tightened to the gun (after unscrewing the barrel tip) and then the outer case is inserted over the core. An M4 short bolt is then used to secure the two together once you have orientated the case correctly with the bolt at the bottom. I was not sure what diameter to make the silencer barrel core so went for 5.5mm (compared to a 4.5mm BB). This is tapered out to 9mm at the end of the silencer to give the actual real gun calibre. This acts more like a mega phone, rather than a silencer! The fit between the core and the case is a little loose (0.2mm), this can be tightened in Fusion or use some tape on the core if you like, but it is held tightly by the 4mm bolt anyway. You could reduce the hole diameter of the start of the core to get a better airtight fit with the BB and also make the hole straight (rather than a cone shape), this may increase the gun's power and accuracy. I have not tried this, but some experimentation would be required to determine the clearance around a travelling BB. I have included the Fusion 360 and STEP files if you want to make changes. The core was printed using black PLA and the case with a PLA, sanded, filled and sprayed with Flat Earth Tan spray paint. The case can be left as is or sanded and filled and then spray painted. The logo can be left or filled with engraver's wax, paint or nail varnish. Have fun, shoot safely.
