Some devices are so poorly designed that they consume power even when turned off. However, if these devices are rarely used, their batteries usually drain quickly before you need them again. You can remove batteries right after each use and store them separately from the device. But first, you have to remember to take out the batteries every time, and secondly, storing them externally is quite inconvenient. This adapter makes your device always ready for use as long as there's power coming from a wall outlet. By the way, I used thin silver wire (0.6mm) for making battery contacts.
