Update (3/26/2018): My Fairy Tower has landed a spot in a highly competitive juried art show for 3D printed artwork in Lake Oswego, Oregon! Layers: The Evolving Art of 3D Printing https://www.lakewood-center.org/pages/Special-Exhibit-call-for-entry-2018 Fairy tower, complete with steps and intricate filigree pillars. Fill the hollow center with treats, flowers, or lights. This design can be printed in a single piece if your print bed is large enough, otherwise print all the pieces and assemble this treasure. You could even print it in multiple colors! Update (12/06/17): I've replaced all stl files with correctly oriented versions to ensure a smooth printing experience. In addition, three .factory files are now available for download, created with Simplify3D. These files contain the layouts for printing this tower in three sections: the base, the pillars and the paths. The paths require minimal support due to the peg holes used to attach the pillars, which appear on the bottom of each path. The pillars need a raft to stabilize them during vertical printing, but no supports are required. The base needs neither raft nor supports, making it ready for printing as is. Happy Printing!!!
