I designed this first-ever fairy/antweight bot with my kids using TinkerCAD. We drew inspiration from the Wedge of Doom and Firestorm. It features two 9g continuous rotation servos with 60mm wheels and a 9g servo for the flipper arm. The bot will face its first test at a competition in July 2018, where it must comply with SPARC rules and fit within the UK spec 4x4x4 cube. Later Update: After competing, we found that our design was much more durable than expected but unfortunately also slower than anticipated. However, swapping out the battery for a 2s model and using a 6v UBEC significantly increased its speed and flipping power. We're eager to try again at the next competition. It's always thrilling to see my designs in action. Check out this example of our bot with an added plastic wedge: https://youtu.be/rh0bbGmGiAI. Relevant parts are at 4:05, 30:45, and 49:50 minutes into the video.
