To showcase Makerbot Digitizer, I borrowed unique figurines from my wife's cabinet; including a fairy that belongs to our granddaughter. Now we can create as many copies as desired! This intricate fairy required multiple scans in multiscan mode with different orientations, such as laying on its back and front. Makerware for Digitizer software does an excellent job stitching these scans together to form a watertight mesh. For successful 3D printing, support for the wings is necessary but a raft is not required.
