A Custom Cover for the Fairphone 2. This cover is designed to replace the original one which tends to warp after opening the phone multiple times. This version number #100 marks a significant milestone, and I'm declaring it kind of finished now, switching from "pre-alpha" to "beta". The latest design is heavily inspired by dirkvl's creation (http://www.shapeways.com/shops/funkyotherhalf), but with several key differences achieved through various attempts to overcome challenges such as printability, bulkiness, functionality, convenience, and dust-proofing. Key aspects I approached differently: * The buttons are now separate units, which doesn't simplify assembly but significantly reduces material dependency. This design works well with both flexible and brittle materials. * A major issue with dirkvl's design was that the two halves could easily become separated (a user reported this), introducing dust into the phone's interior. To avoid this, I introduced a hook on each half-case to keep it in place, which has proven effective but still adds stress when attaching or removing the cover. There is still much room for improvement, but progress continues to be made. Edit: V102 and V103 are now available. V102 allows for printing the cover in one piece. This may not be recommended with hard and brittle polymers but can work with rubber-like materials. To minimize support needs, I've thinned out the frame and removed the speaker-nipple. However, I haven't printed this version yet, so its effectiveness is unknown. V103 improves on printing the cover in two pieces by introducing a dust-sealing feature at the speaker and making minor adjustments for a better fit. 04/21/2017 - V108 brings sleeves for improved fitting and reduced dust intrusion. Further enhancements have also been made. 07/02/2017 - V113 offers a better mesh, improved fit (previously too large), and more precise holes for the buttons. This version was printed in laywood-flex at 0.2mm thickness. 07/06/2017 - V114 adds a logo to give it a bit of personality.
