The Fairey Rotodyne, a historic aircraft concept that saw limited service in 1957, features a unique Verticle Take Off mechanism with jet-assisted spinning of main rotor blades (Gyrocopter Hybrid type). Alternatively, it could take off by rolling down a regular runway to generate lift from its rotor blades and short wings. The 3D model of this aircraft was created using 3D Studio Max R 3 and all parts were joined together to form a single object 3DS file, which ensures correct layout for rendering on any platform.
