The FRC team 2363 has developed a series of wheel prototypes, with this particular one designed for a 1/2" hex shaft. It features a 1 3/16" wide tread that increases the overall diameter to approximately 4 inches upon attachment. To print this wheel using ReplicatorG software, place it face down on the bed and utilize "full support" for proper upper lip rim support. Retaining its spoked internal structure from the previous version, fairings are added to both inner and outer faces for spoke protection and a smooth surface for logo or lettering application in contrasting colors. The tread is narrowed to match Colson wheels and clear fastener heads on the frame. Internal bosses have also been incorporated to attach fasteners for tread mounting, with four visible holes indicating their location. With a weight of 95gm, this wheel prototype is an improvement over its predecessor.
