Fairchild-Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II The A-10C Thunderbolt II, affectionately known as the Warthog or simply The Hog, is a powerhouse of an attack aircraft that's been serving the USAF with distinction for over 40 years. Despite numerous attempts to replace it, this incredible plane remains unmatched in its capabilities. Modelled at a scale of 1:100, this printed replica was created using a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12mm layers on an Ender3 printer. The print job was sliced with PrusaSlicer 2.0, resulting in a highly detailed model that showcases the aircraft's impressive design. To achieve greater precision, I opted for a two-part split design, which allows for more intricate details at the intakes and exhausts. While it may require some additional work to glue the parts together, the result is well worth the effort – the joint is nearly invisible once painted. The Pave Penny Pod can be printed separately if you'd like to add an extra layer of realism to your model. Be sure to consult the images in the folder for correct positioning and assembly instructions.
