This updated Fairchild F-27 model showcases significant enhancements, rebuilt in 2016 with improved geometry, fresh textures, and new features. Constructed nearly to scale with intricate external detailing, the model arrives fully textured and includes materials for the displayed livery. Animated elements include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, retractable landing gear, and landing gear doors. Multiple format files accompany the models, derived from Fokker's 1950 design of the F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop commercial airliner. The first Fairchild F-27 entered operational service in September 1958 with West Coast Airlines and served various operators. A tail-heavy prototype prompted fuselage extension, adding three more seats and enhancing the center of gravity. The aircraft type continued service until the '80s, with some still operational today. The F-27's legacy includes the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, and design advancements like the Fokker F-50 and F-60.
