This newly rebuilt Fairchild F-27 model dates back to 2016, boasting enhanced geometry, new textures, and features. Constructed nearly to scale with meticulous attention to detail, it's fully textured and includes materials for the depicted livery. Animated elements include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Available in multiple format files, this model traces its origins to the Fokker F-27, a twin-engine turboprop commercial passenger airliner designed in 1950 and first flown in 1955. Fairchild Hiller produced it under license from Fokker in the US. The prototype was slightly tail-heavy, prompting a fuselage stretch to balance the CG and increase seating capacity. West Coast Airlines inaugurated the first operational F-27 service in September 1958, followed by numerous other operators. These workhorses of small airlines had an impressive service life, with some still in operation today. The F-27 paved the way for the Fairchild Hiller 227 and later inspired the Fokker F-50 and F-60 series.
