This rebuilt Fairchild F-27 model showcases enhanced quality with updated geometry, new textures, and features from 2016. Nearly to scale, it exhibits intricate detailing externally and comes with materials for displayed livery. Aerodynamic components are animatable, including ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and doors. Formats of the model vary. The Fairchild F-27 is an Fokker F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop airliner's version designed in 1950, with its maiden flight in 1955. Under license by Fokker, it was produced by Fairchild Hiller companies in the US using F-27 design. The prototype was slightly tail-heavy, resulting in a fuselage extension for balance and seating capacity increase. First operational service occurred with West Coast Airlines in September 1958, flying under various operators. These aircraft served as primary airliners for small carriers, performing exceptionally well. Retirement began in the 1980s, but some F-27s remain in use. The F-27 inspired the Fairchild Hiller 227 and led to further developments like the Fokker F-50 and F-60s.
