Introducing an upgraded Fairchild F-27 model, meticulously rebuilt in 2016 with enhanced geometry, new textures, and additional features. This model is nearly to scale and boasts intricate external detailing. The model comes fully textured with livery materials as shown in the profile. Animateable components include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Various formats are included with the model files. The Fairchild F-27 is a version of the Fokker F-27, a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft designed by Fokker in 1950 and first flown in 1955. The Fairchild Hiller companies produced it under license. The prototype faced tail-heaviness, prompting a fuselage stretch that increased capacity. West Coast Airlines' F-27 was the first to enter operational service in September 1958. Many operators utilized these aircraft, which excelled as frontline airliners for small carriers. Retirement of F-27s started in the 1980s, but some remain in use today. The F-27 gave birth to the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, and eventually led to the Fokker F-50 and F-60 derivatives.
