The Fairchild F-27 is an iconic aircraft that originated from Fokker's 1950 design of the F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner. West Coast Airlines welcomed the first operational F-27 in September 1958, with numerous operators flying it afterward.
