The rebuilt Fairchild F-27 model, available here, boasts superior quality geometry, fresh textures, and new features from 2016. It's near to scale with intricate external detailing. The model includes fully textured materials for the shown livery and is equipped with animateable features like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Compatible formats are also provided. The Fairchild F-27 is a U.S.-produced version of the Fokker F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner, designed by Fokker in 1950 and made its first flight in 1955. The Fairchild Hiller companies manufactured it under license from Fokker. The F-27 prototype was slightly tail-heavy, prompting a redesign that extended the fuselage by three feet to correct the center of gravity. This modification also added three extra seats. A Fairchild F-27 became the first F-27 in operational service when West Coast Airlines deployed it in September 1958. It was widely operated by various carriers and performed exceptionally well as a frontline airliner for small airlines. The F-27 was gradually phased out, starting in the 1980s, but some are still operational today. The Fairchild F-27 led to the development of the Fairchild Hiller 227, an extended version of this aircraft, and further design evolutions included the Fokker F-50 and F-60s.
