cgtrader
This redesigned Fairchild F-27 model, available in 2016, boasts enhanced geometry, new textures, and features. The meticulously constructed plane is nearly to scale, with attention paid to external detailing. This model comes fully textured with livery materials as showcased in the profile. The F-27, a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial airliner by Fokker, first flew in 1955 and was produced by Fairchild Hiller under license. The prototype required redesign to correct tail-heaviness; this resulted in fuselage stretching for better balance and increased seating capacity. West Coast Airlines received the first operational F-27 in September 1958, and these aircraft served numerous operators before being gradually retired from the 1980s onwards. The successful F-27 led to the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, as well as to further design developments: the Fokker F-50 and F-60s.
