Introducing the revamped Fairchild F-27 model, meticulously reconstructed in 2016 with enhanced geometry, new textures, and additional features. Constructed near to scale with intricate detailing, this model offers fully textured materials for the displayed livery. Animated components include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. The package includes various format files. The Fairchild F-27 is a variant of Fokker's F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft, designed in 1950 and making its maiden flight in 1955. Fairchild Hiller produced these under license from Fokker. The initial prototype was slightly tail-heavy, which led to a fuselage extension of 3 feet for better weight distribution and seating capacity. West Coast Airlines received the first operational F-27 in September 1958. This aircraft served various operators and performed impressively as frontline airliners for smaller carriers. Retirement of these aircraft began in the 1980s, but some continue to operate today. The F-27's legacy includes the Fairchild Hiller 227 (a stretched version) and further developments like the Fokker F-50 and F-60 series.
