Introducing the revamped Fairchild F-27 model, rebuilt in 2016 with enhanced geometry, new textures, and additional features. This meticulously detailed, near-scale aircraft includes animateable elements like ailerons, flaps, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and doors. It arrives in multiple format files and comes preloaded with materials for the displayed livery. The F-27 originated from Fokker's 1950 design, first flying in 1955 under a U.S. Fairchild Hiller license. Its prototype was slightly tail heavy, which led to fuselage stretching and additional seating capacity. West Coast Airlines first operated the F-27 in September 1958, with many other operators following suit. These versatile aircraft served as frontline airliners for small carriers and demonstrated exceptional performance. Retirement began in the 1980s; however, some remain in service today. The F-27 eventually gave rise to the Fairchild Hiller 227, Fokker F-50, and F-60 derivatives.
