This rebuilt Fairchild F-27 model is a high-quality, highly detailed rendition created in 2016. Nearly to scale and featuring fresh textures, it exhibits exceptional external detailing. The model includes fully textured materials for the shown livery and features animateable parts like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. The Fairchild F-27 is a version of the Fokker F-27 twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner, designed in 1950 and first flying in 1955. Produced by Fairchild Hiller under license from Fokker, it had some design changes before being operated by West Coast Airlines in September 1958. Flown by numerous operators and serving as frontline airliners for small carriers, these aircraft performed exceptionally well. Retirement began in the 1980s, but some are still operational today. The F-27 eventually led to the Fairchild Hiller 227, Fokker F-50, and F-60 variants.
