Introducing the revamped Fairchild F-27 model, rebuilt in 2016 with advanced geometry, new textures, and features. Meticulously crafted near to scale, this model boasts high detail externally. It's fully textured with materials for the displayed livery and offers animateable elements such as ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. The model comes in various format files. The Fairchild F-27 is a variant of the Fokker F-27, a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner designed by Fokker in 1950. Its first flight was in 1955. The Fairchild Hiller companies produced it under license from Fokker. The initial prototype had slight tail heaviness, which led to fuselage stretching by three feet and an additional seating capacity of three. West Coast Airlines received the first operational F-27 in September 1958, and these aircraft were widely operated by various airlines, performing exceptionally well. Retirement of these planes started in the 1980s; some remain in service today. The F-27 paved way for Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, and further design developments led to Fokker F-50 and F-60 series.
