The C-123B Provider is a second production model derived from the XC-123 with twin 2300 hp R-2800-99 radial engines. It can accommodate 61 troops, 50 stretchers, or cargo and has served in various forces including the US Air Force, Thai Air Force, Air National Guard Units, and Air Force Reserves. The B model was later upgraded to the K model standard by incorporating two additional jet turbine engines mounted under the wings near the reciprocating engines.
