The original FAIP component was crafted from clear resin, but it proved to be brittle and prone to breaking. Mine shattered and flew across my driveway, leaving a trail in its wake. To ensure a proper fit, you will undoubtedly need either the o-ring from the original part or a new one. This custom-designed replacement fits my FAIP pump seamlessly. I painstakingly modeled this component after the original, taking care to replicate every detail. When installing it, be sure to push the plug firmly into place before twisting it, ensuring that the o-ring is securely seated. While PLA might be sufficient for most applications, I chose to print with PETG for its superior heat resistance. As long as you avoid prolonged periods of bypass operation, this custom part should withstand the rigors of your machine with ease. To achieve optimal results, remember to print this component with supports enabled, and orient the cap's turning portion face down on the print bed.
