Failed? Experimental axial front mount adapter for Thorped's Cooler
thingiverse
I think this design falls short. The printer operates flawlessly, but I'm not convinced there's a noticeable improvement - axial fans likely just can't move enough air to make a difference, especially with tiny holes where parts connect. THIS IS EXPERIMENTAL! Meaning, I've just finished printing the last part after several attempts to get it right and am now screwing it into place. As I watch it print something simple, I'm aware that printing in PLA doesn't help - it may melt, so I might need to switch to ABS again. While I'm confident it won't cause harm, I disclaim all responsibility if anything happens to your printer. Keep a close eye on it while it prints and have your hand near the power button. I've invested in one of those nifty "foot pedal" switches you plug between the printer and the wall socket - that way, I can quickly shut it off without aiming for the switch. See below for details. Sorry, breaking my habit of posting lengthy texts is tough.
