FAI M Armoured Car Mental Ray 3D model

The FAI M armored car, a variant since 1934, was built on GAZ-M1's chassis with a 60 L fuel tank. Based on GAZ A, a Ford A licensed copy, its chassis faced weakness due to commercial car limitations. German counterparts addressed this by designing military-civilian car chassis. However, FAI fell under road-bound, thinly armored, and lightly armed vehicles category. It featured a single 7.62mm DT machine gun in a revolving turret with armor resistant to shell fragments and small arms fire but vulnerable to cannon or heavy machine-gun fire and mines. Produced in limited numbers before the BA-20 replaced it, FAIs saw action on the Eastern Front during World War II. The 3D model, made using 3ds Max 2016 with mental ray rendering, offers four options: native file for Mental Ray 3.13 and Scanline in 3ds Max 2016, FBX and OBJ exports preserving materials, and texture PNGs at resolutions of 4096x4096, 2048x2048, and 1024x1024. The model includes layers and groups for easy part management. Polygonal Ngons are utilized in the design.
