Fader cap for korg nanokontrol 1 or 2
thingiverse
UPDATE 1/25/2020 I decided to start from scratch and redesign this entirely to correct a few issues. First, I made sure that the studs are wider, separating them into two distinct parts that can be printed at their optimal orientation each. Additionally, since a brim is required, I designed a "fence" around the cap, ensuring the brim only touches the rear of the cap and the fence itself. Although there's a slight risk of warping the cap's corners, eliminating brim scars from the front of the cap was my top priority. Just make sure your bed adhesion is sorted out, and it should be fine. The Cap should be printed with its side oriented facing up, utilizing support in the hollow section. This support is easy to remove and located in an area that's not visible. The mating part should be printed with the studs pointing upwards. Both items should be printed with a brim using a rigid material like PLA or PLA Plus. I started from xantharian's nanokontrol2 fader Cap uploaded and made some simple adjustments. After cleaning the brim, the parts fit together rather snugly and glue is not necessary, though it may help for those who need an extra seal. Thanks to these changes, I was able to print the red example shown here in Cura using SUNLU PLA+ and it looks amazing to my eyes. Be confident that these fader caps work interchangeably on either version of the korg nanokontrol (1 or 2).
