I'm excited to tackle this project, turning a Factorio combinator into something truly practical. The goal is to create a functional design that showcases the versatility of the model. The original concept uses a .2mm layer height, which enables sacrificial bridging - a game-changer for reducing print time by minimizing support material. This approach requires only a few strategically placed manual supports, eliminating the need for extensive inner supports. However, one crucial aspect to consider is adding supports under the wires and around the outside boxes. This design was specifically tailored for the Raspberry Pi 3, taking into account its unique requirements. By streamlining the print process and incorporating essential features, we can create a truly efficient and effective model that showcases the potential of Factorio's combinator designs.
