Factorio Belt

Factorio Belt

Belt design drawn from the inspiration of conveyor belts in Factorio. I created six sizes, ranging from 70cm to 1m. A file containing three belt sections is included for extension purposes, requiring minimal snip work. Each added section adds 20mm. This setup can also save considerable time if any issues arise during printing. Check the picture of a test piece's back end to see how to cut it without compromising its strength. When done correctly, access becomes restricted and it stays in place. The belt itself is entirely printed in situ. The gear buckle and colored inserts are printed separately. 700mm corresponds to 34 inserts, 740 equals 36, 820 translates to 39, 880 amounts to 42, 940 equates to 45, and 1000 matches 48. The ends of the belt exhibit considerable overhang but can be produced without supports. A moderate cleanup is necessary in this case. I used 1.6mm walls to ensure sufficient strength for holding its contents, although less might suffice. It is advisable to print the test piece and buckle first, verifying their functionality before embarking on the lengthy printing process of the full belt.
