I made this for a buddy, which is why you'll see their name on top of my finished photos. I removed it from the STL file, though, if you'd like me to send you one with your name on it, just toss in a small tip and I'll edit it in for you. It's easy enough to do yourself, too, if that's what you prefer. I printed this out in PLA, using 30% infill and a .2 layer height for the main body. Then, I set the slicer to crank up the infill on the top to 60%, with a much thinner .08 layer height. It took my printer around 35 hours to get everything just right. The second file is the spinning gear, which fits perfectly into the spot at the top. I didn't combine them in case that part of the print failed – it would be a real pain to have to reprint the whole thing. In S3D, I used support for this project, and it mostly added some extra bits to the hanging pipe on top and the metal nubs on the sides of the body. While the sides of the body might just print okay on their own, you'll definitely need that support for the pipe at the top. The dock itself will hold most phones, and there's a little line at the bottom where you can run your cable through. If you'd like to toss in a tip, I appreciate it – but no worries if not. Print away!
