This new design is again modern, a bit futuristic without exageration, somehow similar with my old versions, but nicer, more complex and more comfortable. As anything in contact with face skin, I strongly recommend to print with TPU. Soft plastics such NinjaFlex are extremely malleable and only due to such characteristics you can cover better different face shapes. Printed with hard plastics is actually Ok too, but it will fit less on different people, because of nose size, face shape, chin pronunciation and so on. Additionally I slightly reduced the size, so that you have less problems of sweating. Here in Germany it’s just obligatory to wear a mask in public now. It means that I need something for the whole day and not just five minutes. Therefore I had to rethink what kind of design I have to wear. Therefore it is specially designed to be able to print with TPU too since it is free of stringing, because it can be printed in vase mode (spirilize outer contour) - see instructions for that. It's the "state of art" of 3D printing. During its development the modern design shape and the printing quality were equaly important. As you probably know how difficult it is to print with NinjaFlex filaments, the problems could be solved using apropriate printing speeds, flow, hotend diameter and the design shape of course. In fact, in order to achieve the possibility to print with vase mode, I had to design every detail thinking how the slicer software would decide to produce the travel, because it is of course not a vase. But only in vase mode you get incredibly good printing quality. The inner side should be printed with hard plastic or TPU as well, but harder TPU is better. But from quality, my best results were achieved with PETG. Then, between the two printed parts you just add some cotton fabric to funtion as filter and finally some cords for wearing it (my recommendation is shoelaces).
