This renovation completely transformed its previous Gothic structure, with a focus on its main entrance facing the street of Marquis de Dos Aguas. The entrance is made of alabaster by Ignacio Vergara Gimeno, a Valencian artist who founded and taught at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in San Carlos, based on a design by Hipólito Rovira, a protégé of the Marqués.
