Facets Dice - Full set of custom RPG dice
thingiverse
I've been tinkering with 3D printing designs for my set of custom dice. My commute one day sparked an idea to try creating unique dice designs using 3D modeling software. Initially, I managed to complete a few dice that caught my eye, and I continued working through the numbers until I was satisfied with the entire set. The d20 proved to be the most challenging as it required handling multiple numbers efficiently. To overcome the design hurdle of printing on end without support, I focused on minimizing the footprint at the base while ensuring it remained large enough to prevent dislodging from the print bed during printing. A previous design had suffered 4 out of 12 prints getting knocked off mid-print due to a thin footprint. The d10 stands out as my favorite in this set, closely followed by the d6. I designed all these dice using Tinkercad. Update: Additional files have been added, making the full set available now. Update: A Fate +/-/black version of the d6 has also been included.
